Halloween will soon be upon us, and to help you decide where to take your family this October, we have compiled a list of fab Purple events! Most of these are family friendly, however some may not be suitable for young children after a certain time. We have added the date, cost and a description of each event. Have a fun and spooky halloween!
Howl'o'ween at Chessington World of Adventures!
Date: 21st - 31st October
Cost: £27.60 for tickets booked 5+ days in advance. Children under 3 go free.
A spine-chilling week filled with thrills, howls and half term family fun awaits the bravest of guests, with jumps, goosebumps and rides in the dark.Young adventurers can choose the Trick or Treat wood, for plenty of tricks and treats suitable for families of all ages.
Halloween Fun at Brodsworth Hall
Date: Sat 22 - Sun 30 Oct 2016
Cost: Adult - £10.40, Child 5 to 15 years - £6.20, Family - £27.00.
Join us for frightening fun this October half term with a spooky trail around the grounds to find ghostly characters and solve clues. Over the weekends (22 & 23 and 29 & 30 October) little terrors can also decorate their own pumpkin tealight holder and make a scary mask to take away with them.
Pumpkin Festival and Halloween Frolics at Cannon Hall Farm
Date: 22 October - 31 October
Cost: £8.95 per person (includes a pumpkin)
Our popular annual Pumpkin Festival is making a return – and 2016 promises to be bigger and better than ever. Each paying child will be given a voucher to get entry to our very own pumpkin patch. They can design the perfect spooky face for your pumpkin and our expert carvers will shape out those toothy grins for you.
Spooky Abbey and Illuminated Abbey at Whitby Abbey

This Hallowe'en half term join us for frighteningly fun activities, with scary storytelling and a spooky trail. Wrap up warm and take a wander around our atmospheric abbey that inspired Bram Stoker's gothic story, Dracula.
Brick or Treat at Legoland
Date: From the 17th - 31st October and 5th November
Cost: £37 per person for a Brick or Treat day ticket.
This October half term bring your little monsters to the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort and get into the Halloween spirit with our Brick or Treat event! With many fun spook-tacular activities plus over 55 rides, live shows and attractions, the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is an awesome day out for all the family!
Encounter the exotic and the scary at Tropical Butterfly House

Frightwater Valley at Lightwater Valley

Join us for our annual Halloween spooktacular, Frightwater Valley from Thursday 27th - Sunday 30th October as a cloak of supernatural delight shrouds the theme park. All manner of creepy ghouls and beasties lurk within the Valley, so tread scarefully as we celebrate shocktober in style. You can chose from a whole host of mini, mega and ultimate scares but remember... the darker the night the scarier the fright! Family friendly up until 4pm.
The Haunted Castle at Warwick Castle
Date: 22nd October - 31st October

With wondrous witches, Horrible Histories and the return of the spectacular Fire Joust, experience Warwick Castle's biggest ever Haunted Castle event this Halloween! The Haunted Castle promises fearful levels of fun for all ages during the day and then, after dark, the fright factor is cranked high as the Castle remains open until 9pm.

Sharks in the Dark at Sea Life Blackpool

Don’t miss this spooky Halloween experience as you snorkel with sharks in the dark! Come face to fin with some of the most amazing creatures of the deep as you snorkel among an array of sharks at SEA LIFE Blackpool as they are most active in the dark! The SEA LIFE Blackpool Snorkeling with Sharks After Dark includes: behind The Scenes Tour prior to your snorkel, 45 minute snorkel with a group of magnificent sharks, full instructional briefing by trained Aquarists, all equipment including snorkel gear and wet suits.
Halloween week at Shepherds Place Farm
Date: 24th - 29th October
Cost: Adults £4.50. Children 2 -15 and senior citizens £3.50.
We will have free creepy crafts in our brand new craft room, apple bobbing, a spooky treasure trail round the farm (with a treat for all who participate), face painting, and a best fancy dress competition. We will also have pumpkin carving available for £1 per pumpkin otherwise this is a free event so just normal entrance fee's apply.
SHOC-olate story at York's Chocolate Story

Join us for spook-tacular shoc-olate tasting sessions and a spooky Halloween tour! Courageous visitors can test their nerve by taking part in the tastiest trick or treat challenge ever. Guests will test their luck by spinning the ‘wheel of fortune’ to receive either a deliciously tasty treat or a revolting rotten trick chocolate.
Halloween Shriek Week at Boston Park Farm
Date: 21st October - 31st October
Cost: £6 per person, family ticket £20. Under 2's are free.
We are open each day from the 21st October until the 31st October from 10am until 4pm for our shriek week activities. Search the maize for hidden pumpkins, buy a pumpkin and make your own lantern. Tricks, treats, crafts and games for everyone to enjoy.
The farm trail and tearooms will be open as usual.
Halloween Spooktacular at Pleasure Island
Date: 29th October
Cost: £3.50 entry
Join us for a night full of family fun with rides in the dark and fantastic fireworks. This year there will be a Halloween theme throughout the park so make sure you look out for those witches and goblins. Tickets are just £3.50 per person. Optional ride wristbands are also available for £9 for unlimited use of the smaller rides and £11 for use of all the rides including the white knuckle attractions.
